  • As I mentioned elsewhere, my love for the Paola Reina Amigas started with the search for a doll that resembles Katie Morag McColl from Mairi Hedderwick's books. Naturally, I had to make a blue on white jumper that is similar to the staple Fair Isle design that Katie Morag wears. So here is my version of it. The yarns that I used came from an ex-textile designer's attick. These were the ends of the bulks that went on the big weaving machines to create high end materials. The leftovers were too small to be used industrially, but great quality and just the right size to be knit up into jumpers for mischievous dolls. Waste not, want not! I loved the project. So greetings from the Struay Post Office! And a big thank you to Mairi Hedderwick for writing these wonderful stories! This listing is for the jumper only. The price does not contain the rest of the outfit.
  • When I came up with the idea of this top, I had dancing classes - modern or jazz maybe - in my mind. I wanted to make a short top, a rather sporty one, but with extra long sleeves that make the arms seem longer, but that you can roll up or just push up your arm when they get in the way. There is a bunny embroidered in cross-stitch on the front of the top. This listing is for the top only. The price does not contain the rest of the outfit.
  • A blouse for the days of heatwaves. Yellow and white checkered material, tie-straps on the shoulders and a bit of frill around the bottom. It closes on the front with tiny yellow buttons. This listing is for the blouse only. The price does not contain the rest of the outfit.
  • The set consists of: 1. A hand-knitted hot pink sweater / cardigan or jumper with a bit of a sparkle in the form of tiny sequins. It closes with four buttons; 2. Indigo-colored floral cotton skirt with purple and pink pattern - made from vintage material; 3. A pair of pale pink tights; 4. A pair of black and white Mary Jane type shoes. A bright and cheerful autumn or winter ensemble.
  • Hand-knitted hot pink sweater / cardigan or jumper with a bit of a sparkle in the form of tiny sequins. It closes with four buttons. Cosy and toasty warm for the winter days. This listing is for the cardigan only. The price does not contain the rest of the outfit.
  • To make this lovely soft cardigan I used a color-blending acrylic yarn with bright blues and greens and a bit of yellow and brown. Because the colors are so busy, the design is kept plain. It has a hood and 4 buttons on the front. It is shown on a 15" Berenguer baby doll, but it would suit 14-18" dolls, depending on their shape. It fits the 18" American Girl or Our Generation dolls, too. Care instructions: hand wash only, in warm water with mild detergent.
  • Unisex blue dungarees for a 12-14" doll. Baggy and loose, designed to fit baby dolls. The main material is a cotton - polyester blend that does not need ironing, the lining is 100% cotton with tiny bees and strawberries on a turquoise background. The garment has two large side pockets and two fasteners on the back. The front is decorated with an iron-on bunny. It can be made to order in different sizes and coloures. Care instructions: hand wash only, in warm water with mild detergent.
  • Hand-knitted green A-line mini dress with a colourful Fair Isle pattern around the neck in orange, grey and blue. It closes with three buttons on the back. Cosy and perfect for the winter holidays.
  • The inspiration for this little dress was the bodice of Tudor gowns (minus the corset, of course). The material is an extremely cosy, soft, grey, knitted material. I wanted to make something that is modern enough for everyday wear and beautiful enough to be the "Sunday best". The lace on the front and on the sleeves comes from my collection of vintage lace that I accumulated when I was gathering stuff for my wedding dress. This piece was too small to be used then, but, because it was so gorgeous, I have kept it for all these years. It has an ever so slightly yellowed tinge that - in my opinion - makes it particularly lovely. There are two pockets on the front - for little treasures. The dress is fully openable on the back to make it easy for little hands to play with. Its bodice is lined.
  • Although it is not the easiest material to work with, I love broderie anglaise. It combines old world charm with romantic thoughts. When I saw this material I wanted to make something that is formal and playful at the same time. So here is this long-sleeved blouse that closes on the back with fasteners and has playful frills on the shoulders. It works well with a denim skirt but looks equally unique with a more elegant bottom.   The purchase includes the blouse only (no skirt or shoes included).
